Dr. Ramprasad is a distinguished scientist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in genomics and life sciences, and in Testing .He holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), an MSc from Bangalore University, and an MBA from Madurai Kamaraj University and has authored several international scientific publications. Prior to founding Barcode Group, he held key positions with leading multinational organizations, including Eurofins and Syngene International, MWG Biotech etc., gaining extensive expertise in laboratory operations, food authenticity testing, and genomic technologies. Under his leadership, Barcode Group has grown into one of India’s leading providers of genomics services, offering innovative solutions in DNA sequencing, oligonucleotide synthesis, gene synthesis, DNA authenticity and regulatory compliance. Mr. Surendra plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s growth strategy, driving operational excellence, and identifying new business opportunities across domestic and international markets. He has been instrumental in developing robust marketing and sales functions, forging strategic partnerships, and strengthening customer engagement to enhance the company’s market presence.

Dr. Mausumee Mohanty is a biotechnology professional with over 15 years of experience in genomics, molecular biology, food genomics, and biotechnology services. At Barcode Biosciences, she leads the development and delivery of advanced molecular solutions spanning custom gene synthesis, oligonucleotide synthesis, Sanger sequencing, molecular diagnostics, and food genomics applications. Her expertise in food genomics encompasses a broad range of authenticity, traceability, and food safety solutions, including Basmati rice authentication, milk authentication, species and meat authentication, DNA barcoding, vegan and vegetarian claim verification, allergen testing, pathogen detection, and supply chain traceability. She has been instrumental in implementing DNA-based and molecular testing approaches for the detection of food adulteration, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing consumer confidence in food products.
With hands-on expertise in qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction, cloning, protein expression and purification, microsatellite marker analysis, SNP detection, DNA barcoding, and Sanger sequencing using the ABI 3730XL platform, she combines scientific excellence with operational leadership to establish scalable, high-throughput laboratory workflows and innovative service offerings. A strong advocate for translating research into practical applications, Dr. Mausumee Mohanty operates at the intersection of genomics, biotechnology, food science, and diagnostics. Her current focus includes expanding the use of sequencing technologies, synthetic biology, molecular diagnostics, and food genomics to address emerging challenges in healthcare, agriculture, food safety, authenticity testing, and personalized medicine. Through scientific leadership, innovation, and a commitment to quality, she continues to drive the development of genomics-based solutions that deliver measurable impact for industry, research, regulatory compliance, and public health.

Mr. Venkata Reddy is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), and holds a Bachelor Degree of Commerce from Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupathi. Mr. Venkata Reddy has over Seven years of professional qualification experience in managing finance and accounting operations of reputed companies. He has expertise in preparing budget & forecasts, performing monthly closings, and conducting cash flow analysis. Mr.Venkata Reddy Heads the Finance & Accounts operations at Barcode Biosciences. He is responsible for financial planning, budgeting, cash-flow analysis, implementing internal controls at organisation level, and creating policies, procedures at department levels. In addition, he also is responsible for the review of financial statements to management, investors and other stakeholders. Mr. Venkata Reddy’s diligence and acumen has added tremendous value to the organisation, resulting in positive cash flows and increased operational efficiency.

Mr. Prasanth Thekkeetil holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and is a certified Internal Auditor for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Laboratory Management Systems. With over 18 years of experience in genomics, food genomics, quality assurance, and laboratory operations, he has extensive expertise in Sanger sequencing, DNA barcoding, microbial identification, GMO analysis, DNA authenticity testing, and molecular biology applications. Prior to joining Barcode Biosciences, he was associated with Chromous Biotech, contributing to genomics research and sequencing services. Currently, as Manager – Quality Assurance & Supply Chain Management, he leads quality, compliance, and supplier management functions across the organization. He is responsible for implementing and strengthening quality systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

As an empaneled NABL Technical Assessor, Arun brings deep expertise in accreditation, technical governance, and operational excellence while mentoring teams and enabling organizations to deliver reliable, high-quality testing services with integrity and innovation His expertise includes food microbiology, molecular microbiology, GMO testing, method validation, laboratory accreditation, and quality systems. Prior to joining Barcode Analyticals, he worked with leading organizations such as Envirocare Labs, Vimta Labs, TÜV SÜD South Asia, PepsiCo India, and United Breweries, contributing significantly to laboratory excellence, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance programs.
